Alygne, the NLP deeptech startupsets up home in Toulouse

Attracted by the Occitanie Region’s know-how in the field of artificial intelligence, Alygne sets up home in Toulouse.

Alygne, a company based in San Francisco, helps consumers and investors make the right decisions with regard to their values. With the help of the Invest in Toulouse, Business France and AD’OCC agencies, Alygne is relying on the rich artificial intelligence ecosystem that thrives here in Toulouse – especially the one provided by the ANITI institute – and setting up in the Ville Rose in order to attract new talent and continue its expansion across Europe.

Alygne’s identity

Using patented artificial intelligence models and algorithms in the field of natural language processing, Alygne mines a large amount of everyday information before providing a clear picture of a company's values. The Alygne App therefore allows consumers or professionals to buy or invest in a company that shares their viewpoint on a variety of subjects such as societal, environmental and ethical issues…
Led by a trio made up of Corinne Grillet, Christophe Joly and Gregory Renard, the first two of whom were students in Toulouse and then successful entrepreneurs in the Silicon Valley in the United States, this project reflects their desire to set up their company here. Their first employee is a student from ENSEEIHT, a school that Christophe Joly also attended. They recently won the "Hack to the Future" hackathon in the Fintech category, proof that their software, which is currently being fine-tuned, is already attracting interest from professionals in the sector.

Setting up in Toulouse

Our Invest in Toulouse team as well as Business France and AD’OCC teams gathered to help Alygne develop its team in France and assist in making contact with local entrepreneurs in the ecosystem. The company will start recruiting approximately 5 people in the coming months and consolidate its development in Europe and in Occitanie.
